MESSAGE FROM THE DEPUTY LEADER OF THE OPPOSITION TANYA PLIBERSEK

WOMEN IN ROTARY, INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY BREAKFAST

It is my great pleasure to support the Women in Rotary's International  Women's Day breakfast.

The goal of Women in Rotary, to increase diversity in Rotary and make it more representative, is worthwhile in and of itself. But greater diversity also leads to better decision-making, a wider outlook, and greater innovation.

The evidence is there in the projects you have supported, whether in providing health care and refuge for Tibetan women and children fleeing domestic violence, or computers to Australia victims of domestic violence to help them with study and employment.

The work you do is invaluable, and I  wish you a happy International  Women's Day 2015.
